Mammoth Cave National Park

Did you know that the world’s longest known cave system sits right here in the USA? Making our first national park stop is one we won’t soon forget. The pictures we took can’t even begin to do justice of how unbelievably beautiful this park is. The Trek to Kentucky took a little time but certainly worth it. Entering the park, you don’t realize what is going on beneath your very feet. We booked the Mammoth Passage and Domes and Dripstones tours and both were exquisite.

Not knowing much about Mammoth Cave, I obviously knew we were going to see a cave, but didn’t realize we would be traveling 150-250 ft. underground. On the Mammoth Cave tour, your led to this grand entrance pictured above and the historic two hour tour helps you to understand the rich history of the caves. The Domes and Dripstones tour starts in a sinkhole with you literally walking down 260 stairs, where you will begin an adventure you won’t forget! I can go on and on about reasons you should absolutely visit Mammoth Cave. Give us a shout and let us know what you think! Next stop is The Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, let’s go! https://www.nps.gov/maca/index.htm
