Disneyland, CA
After leaving St. Augustine, we had the opportunity to check out Disneyland in California. We have been to Disney World in Florida on many occasions, so we jumped at the opportunity to see what Disneyland had to offer and it did not disappoint! Being that we got there in the first week of January, the holiday theme was still in full gear. In true Disney fashion, everything was decked to the nines.
If you notice the front cover of the blog, that is a picture taken from the outside of “it’s a small world” Holiday lighting. the most impressive is that the ride itself is completely transformed into a merry version where the children sing different holiday songs. The same can be said for the “Haunted Mansion”, where it has been rethemed and inspired by Tim Burton’s the Nightmare Before Christmas. Going to the “Haunted Mansion” at night was really awesome. Obviously at night, you can see all the work that was put into making it magical, including Sleeping Beauty’s castle that turns into a wintertime enchantment and makes you feel that the castle is draped in icicles. The pictures we took are below. Last, but not least, we need to talk about the rides and Disneyland has some really good ones!
Although we were there for only one day, we were still able to get in a lot of rides. You obviously have to get in the classics: Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, it’s a small world, Peter Pan’s Flight, etc., but there were some others that really stood out. Pictured above is from the one ride I really wanted to see “Star Wars: Rise of the resistance”. Just walking through the Galaxy’s Edge is cool enough, but this ride is incredibly awesome. Speaking of incredible, the Incredicoaster themed after the Incredibles is not your average Disney ride, it’s a legit rollercoaster. Some other stand out rides that are must rides are: Indiana Jones Adventure, Soaring over the World, Radiator Springs Racers and so many more. If you ever have the opportunity to go to Disneyland, do it, and you certainly won’t be disappointed! Pics are below
